Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by a parasite called Trichomonas vaginalis. While there is limited data available on the prevalence of trichomoniasis in Malaysia, it is generally considered to be a common STI worldwide.
Trichomoniasis can affect both men and women, although women are more likely to experience symptoms. Common symptoms in women include vaginal discharge, itching or burning in the genital area, and pain during urination or sexual intercourse. In men, symptoms can include discharge from the penis, itching or burning in the genital area, and pain or discomfort during urination or ejaculation. However, many people with trichomoniasis may not experience any symptoms at all.
The best way to prevent trichomoniasis is not to practice ZINA (adultery) for unmarried couple. If you suspect that you may have trichomoniasis or any other STI, it is important to seek medical attention from a healthcare professional. They can perform tests and provide treatment to help manage your symptoms and prevent the spread of the infection to others.
